The 校董会 consists of seven board members elected to serve, 无偿, for overlapping terms of three years each. 选举s are conducted annually in May. While c和idates run for specific places, they do not represent specific geographical areas; rather, each represents 谢尔曼ISD at large.
选举s of Trustees are held annually for three-year terms in cycles identified below:
Place 1 和 2 2027, 2030, 2033 和 in three-year intervals thereafter.
Places 3, 4, 和 5 2025, 2028, 2031 和 in three-year intervals thereafter.
Places 6 和 7 2026, 2029, 2032 和 in three-year intervals thereafter.
Terms for the 校董会 expire as follows:
Places 1 和 2 May 2027
Places 3, 4, 和 5 May 2025
Places 6 和 7 May 2026

需求
An application for a place on the ballot must be in writing; signed, sworn to by the c和idate before a person authorized to administer an oath, 和 dated; timely filed with the district’s filing authority 和 contain specified information about the c和idate:
- The c和idate’s name, date of birth, 和 occupation;
- The c和idate’s residence address or the address at which the c和idate receives mail with a description of the location of the c和idate’s residence;
- The c和idate’s length of continuous residence in 特克斯as 和 in the district as of the date the c和idate swears to the application;
- 如果可用, a public mailing address 和 email address at which the c和idate receives correspondence relating to the c和idate’s campaign;
- 该办公室寻求, including any place or other distinguishing number 和 an indication of whether the office sought is for a full or unexpired term;
- Statements that the c和idate is a U.S. citizen; has not been determined by a court to be mentally incapacitated; has not been convicted of a felony; is aware of the nepotism law; 和 swears an oath to support 和 defend the U.S. 以及德州的宪法和法律.
资格
An individual is eligible to be a c和idate for, 或被选举或任命的, a 特克斯as school board if the individual:

- Is 18 years of age or older on the first day of the term to be filled at the election or on the date of appointment, 适用的;
- Has not been determined by a final judgment of a court exercising probate jurisdiction to be totally mentally incapacitated or partially mentally incapacitated without the right to vote;
- Has not been convicted of a felony;
- Has resided continuously in the state for 12 months 和 in the territory from which the office is elected for six months immediately preceding the following date:

- For a write-in c和idate, the date of the election at which the c和idate’s name is written in; or
- For an appointee to an office, the date the appointment is made;

- Satisfies any other eligibility requirements prescribed by law for the office.

A person may not be elected trustee of an independent school district unless the person is a qualified voter. "Qualified voter" means a person who:

The next Board of Trustee election for 谢尔曼ISD will be May 3, 2025. The first day to file an application for a place on the ballot in a school district’s general election is January 16, 2025年（30岁）th 申请截止日期的前一天).
